Freaking Cold
I once popped this whole thing into my mouth and i had a hard time swallowing my saliva.
The "thing" wasn't even chewable and i had to wait for it to be slightly melted b4 i could bite on it, and once I managed to... all I got was a wave of brain freeze.

BB's 1st mth
Went over to a sec sch fren's bb 1st mth last sat.
She's so cute! But i cannot imagine myself having a kid at the moment.
For someone who needs sleep badly and will go mad when deprived of sleep.. I'll nvr be a good mother. haha
At Liting's house, I met up with quite a few Sec sch mates.
Dunno why but i felt very happy.. its like been quite sometimes since we last saw one other, yet, we were able to chat easily without feeling awkward. We reminisced of the old sch days and tease one another... It was fun!
Hhhmmm....I wonder when is the next meet up?

hhhmmmppphhh!
As I was leaving home for work this morning.. i noticed 2 gold $1 belonging to my husband on the table.
Making a mental note to tell him that i wanted them before I pocketed the $, this was wat I did.
Upon reaching home, i recalled about the gold coins and wanted to ask him for it.
And this was what i found:
Arghhh!
And so, i stood outside the bathroom, waiting for him to finish bathing...
ME (while pouting...as he open the door) : "how come the $1 coins become 5 cents?"
Him (took a look at me and laughs): u waited outside just to ask me this? U wanted to save all gold coins ma.. its still gold in color.
He hid them under the biscuit tin...
But now, its safely in here... hehehe
I wonder how many $1 is inside now.. although its not even 1/2 full

A meet up with Ugly Duckling
Had dinner with a long 'lost' friend today.... and I came face to face with 3 ugly ducklings:

I think i'm a very cruel person.. the 1st attempt to try, i destroyed its stylo hair.. and the 2nd attempt , i ended up beheading the duck.. and i got a very shocked look from Gary. haha

On the way home... i felt very happy as i learnt something... I am a very smart person..
In fact, all of us are very damn smart.
It goes like this: His uncle was telling his young son that he was extremely smart .. coz he swam very fast and reached the finishing point 1st.

Labour Day gathering
Yesterday,I finally managed met up with Yoko for a long catching up session and then groceries shopping @ Meiyi-da
She's comin to my house for a Jap sushi making mini party...

Yao Gui
hhmmmm this action of mine made me.... vomitted 5 times and visited the loo 3 times..in a short span of less than 24 hours.
On 25 Apr, for a mini celebration, CX & I went Pariss to try the buffet there, i could say its not too bad..
we were actually trying to find a Jap restuarant before deciding on Pariss : Tokyo Sin which apparently serves Japanese cuisine buffet.
I was so looking forward to it that both of us took for granted that the other party knew where the exact location should be...only with the knowledge that it was near to citylink, we walked around the area bout 3 times before I grudgingly gave up.
Reason being... I was so so looking forward to the sashimi, shisamo, cha soba, etc etc... and ended up could not locate the restuarant.
So even though Pariss costs quite a fair bit more... i still wasnt so contented..
Then came Fri, lunch time, 6 of us went to margaret drive to have the famous chicken rice and 20 steam dumplings and 20 fried gyozas. Dinner was planned way in advance where my colleagues and I met up with a couple of ex colleagues to have a buffet dinner .. as they reason we could sit, eat, chat, eat... without anyone chasing us.
The food was good.. i wacked the sashimi & the ebi coz they were very nice....
and so resulted in an upset stomach and a series of vomit.
Actually Cx was quite sweet to accompany me throughout the night while i was gagging my lungs out.
We both sat in the kitchen with him on the floor and me on a dining chair with a plastic bag over my chin all through the night... ya.. what a sight right? i know... luckily i haven turned him off food hahah
Sat ended with an acute gasrtic pain in the stomach and super painful injection to stop it all.
I now swear off buffets for at least 3 mths!!! =(

Today….. it’s suppose to be very special day to me.

CX: no occasion.. coz dear very sian these few days ma
Me: wah.. really.. wat did u buy?
CX: Something small and cheap la.. dun hope too much. Just wanted to cheer u up
Me: Wah.. something small.... I know what liao : DIAMOND Ring! Hahahaha
CX: no la, I already said something cheap
I had to search for my 2 presents thru the house … only with 2 clues:

A Phone Call
Just after I typed in my previous post about procrastinating to call my Grandma...
I picked up my HP to call her up.. hoping that she has not gone to bed...8 plus
At the sound of her voice.... I felt a sense of warmth filling my heart.
Nope.. i did not wake her up.. but realised that I missed her a lot.
She was eating fruits at the time of my call...
My Grandma.. so much memories rose in my head.
The lady whom looked after me and my bro when we were young.. together with my 2 cousins..
The 4 of us would always hide in her bedroom while she was always busy with making something for us to eat in the kitchen....We were all so chubby under her care..
The 4 of us would be dancing on her bed, make believe we were holding a concert.. having fans & encores, jumping on the mattess... using her bolster as a mic. At the end of the day, her bed was always in a big mess.. and she would mumble/ scream or shake her head. hahah
I still recall snatching her bolster from her in the middle of the night.. then she would try to snatch back from me when she thought i was in deep sleep.. and it would go on and on.
I still recall i was always so angry with her for me being late for kindergaten. Always the last to reach and had to stand in front of the line. Unable to line in pair with a guy I had a crush on.. Yeah.. i think i grew up fast .. haha But yet, each time she would be in time to pick me up....not letting me play at the play ground before we head home.
I still recall she would always scold my uncles when they secretly bought ice cream for us to eat... braving up against my Grandma's scolding.. so she strongly believed that small kids should not eat ice cream...
I still recall clearly once when she was bathing and i sat on her dressing table with a pair of scissors and began trimming my fringe. The feeling of cutting hair was so shiok that i realised i was left with almost 1.5cm of fringe, she almost fainted and was so worried bout how my mum would react when she saw me.
Another incident was when she brought me to the doctor. I hated it so much coz i knew it meant i had to take medicine, so when the doctor tried to put the stethoscope on my chest.. i kicked him hard in his balls.. and no.. i didnt knew why it hurt so much or that was a different part from my body at that time. Except that the doc looked seriously pissed and my grandma was so alarmed that she kept on "soli soli soli!!!"
I recall that whenever i visit her, she always cooks up a feast and forced me to finish the food (even when i turned up unannouced so that I can escape eating for 3pax's share,I'm not over-exaggerating, she'll always find something from the fridge, drawers, cupboards,to cook), she'll not let me do the dishes so that i will stay longer saying to wait for her to finish washing.. and she'll rewash & rewash & rewash till close to very late into the night.
Or when she complains that I dun bring her out for walks, but each time we arranged and i was on the bus reaching her house, she'll say "aiya...ah mah headache, cannot go out.. other day la.. u go home okie?" Aarrrggghhh!!!
While we chatted, i described at length to her how my house look like.. as she has never been here.. she missed it during Chinese New Year as she had to wait up for an aunt to visit her while the rest of my relatives came over...
I told her about my experience with putting on braces, how i realised that only at 26 years old, learnt that my baby teeth was still firmly intact in my gums.. the pulling of 4 teeth, the surgery of an embedded tooth while she balked at the price of extracting a teeth cost 40 while she had hers extracted at only 15... All the while she kept chiding me for not telling her so that she could brew some nourishing chinese herbal soup for the blood i lost.
She chided me for not learning how to cook from her or watch her cook while i was staying with her when she learnt from me that most of the time, it is my husband who cooks for me.
Saying that a girl should know how to cook well and look after the family. I felt embarassed...
I remember she cooked very well.. loved her curry fish head, her fried omelettes, stirred fried veg, fish porridge, etc etc... It saddens me that when i told her i missed those dishes she cooked, she told me she could no longer cook that well.. coz of her migraine and aching arms and legs..
We chatted for almost 3 hrs.. my HP was so hot against my ear...and she started nagging that I have not bathed... its so late now.. cannot wash hair... at night cannot wash hair... wait next time old will have a lot of headaches..next time dun so late then bath.. remember ah.. dun so late bath next time.. aiyo.. why so late haven bath... next time bath le then call me.. and anytime can call me.. i dun sleep so early. dun worry.. dun so late bath ah.. dun wash hair at night ah... blah blah blah" (yes.. she's very repetitive.. super) The hangup routine takes about 10 mins each time.
To my grandma,
I hope you'll not grow old so fast... i miss the days even when i felt u were so strict and naggy and nearly wanted to strangle you. hahah
I wanna bring you to see my house for yourself soon so that you wun need to imagine.
Okie, I shall set it to next week or the week after next!

So much things or errands to be done and yet you just dun even feel like starting?
Procastination...

I cant seem to keep myself focus... be it whatever i was doing at the moment.
My thoughts would sway to other things which i wasnt doing at the very moment. And yet, when i stop watever i was doing to do what was was on my mind.. i procrastinate.
I just.. I dun even feel like doing anything at all... staring into space.. blankly..
Nothing seem to hold my interest at all.
Is that normal???
I think i need a break..

Been sick for the past few days...
yes.. i must be thankful that CX did all of the house work in addition to cooking for me and washing up.
The meals had been very tasty.. just too bad that i wasnt well enuff to take pics to post.
franklyI guess he's just a much better cook than me. Plus I'm super lazy.. usually when i think of needing to clean up after cooking, i'll find excuses to ta bao. And it always result in he cook & wash up..
I hope he pardon me for the low moods the past week... dunno what got into me... he muz have been so stressed dealing with me.

New Ipod Nano
I have a new ipod!
Its called Chipod (found out by CX) ---> Chinese Ipod
Its a 'cheong" 4 GB Ipod Nano.. but i like it.. coz i can watch MTV on it!
It costs $90 ( I bargained and succeeded at the IT Fair-heh heh)
Hope it isnt too disappointing.... I've yet to try out thoroughly.

I learnt about a new & interesting Theme Park while in Sam's car.
I LOVE THEME PARKS! with lots of interesting and heart stopping rides!
I saw a badge pinned on the passenger's seat mirror board..
On it says:" Knott's" Everyone has to go there some day.
Curious, I asked him if he knew where is that place.
He began telling me about this theme park where it celebrates Halloween for the whole of Oct.
It happens at the 'ghost town' area. (usually u go there in the evening)
There would be lots of staff dressed up in scary costumes and most of the time hiding somewhere out there in the theme park and suddenly pops out to scare you.

I LOVE THEME PARKS! with lots of interesting and heart stopping rides!
I saw a badge pinned on the passenger's seat mirror board..
On it says:" Knott's" Everyone has to go there some day.
Curious, I asked him if he knew where is that place.
He began telling me about this theme park where it celebrates Halloween for the whole of Oct.
It happens at the 'ghost town' area. (usually u go there in the evening)
There would be lots of staff dressed up in scary costumes and most of the time hiding somewhere out there in the theme park and suddenly pops out to scare you.

What Are They Doing???
This is done secretly, but as i wasnt very discreet, CX awarded me with a scowl. (hehe)
Last day of CNY and YYKX members are gathered at my house for a "Lo Hei"
Khim mentioned that Sakae's Lo Hei is not bad! So we headed down to Northpoint's to get one.
But can u believe it? It's out of stock, there were stackes of "Lo Hei" boxes near the cashier but it's all been pre-ordered & reserved!
Arghhh.. maybe I'll have to wait for next year to try it.
Even Cold storage & NTUC were out of stock.
It's okie, i told myself... we still have "Golden Pillow" to try, but was later excecuted as we need to wait 2 hrs.
And so.. hahaha
Khim & I came up with a good proposal.. Get the Guys to cook for us...

so while the guys went marketing and cooking, Khim & I hung out in the air-conditioned chill out room for gossips..

Even all our office's TV were rocking... it's still not known where is the earthquake as at now..
When I emailed CX about it.. he said Tampines also, even AF's office @ Braddell also felt it.
Guess its quite a major earthquake.
TQ's sister who's working at Shaw House was asked to evacuate the building!
I din dare to go ladies for fear of being trapped in there!
hmm... i hope all is well.

Xin Xiang Shi Cheng
Happy Chinese New Year!
This year is slightly different compared to previous years coz i get to invite people to come my house! Yeah! I love having people at my house... maybe is due to the fact that i wasnt really allowed to ask friends over when i was staying with my parents. (My mum didnt really liked it)
This year, after visiting @ my grandma's, my uncles,aunts and cousins came over for a visit.
It was kinda fun,chilling out and playing cards.
And they were quite amazed to see the "before" renovation on the valuation report.
One thing both my Dad & Cousin noticed once they stepped into my house: "Eh, how come no TV?"
hahahah
I wanna invite friends over too!!

Excited
Never before i could recall to being so so excited to board a cab!
It was almost 10pm when we were still waiting around for a cab and having a few people suddenly standing few meters ahead of us hailing for cabs. Arghhh
"please.. i wanna get there before the shop closes.. " i kept thinking to myself.
It was impromtu decision to head to carrefour to get something which I've been thinking of having so some time. (and i think CX doesnt know, well maybe he does.. but i've never repeated it to him like when I've wanted something badly)
The best part is, the decision wasnt made by me.. hahah
Only when we reached did i realised that the staff did not announce those "our shop will be closing in 5 min time.. blah blah".. Guess what? they are opened till mid night today! (all the anxiousness for nothing
anyway... here it is:

1st Meal by CX in our new home
To save $, we have agreed to cook often at home than eating out
And for weekdays we just need to cook very simple dinner.

Coming Home
Do you live in a HBD flat?
Do you have the same feeling as I encounter?
As I walk along the long corridor to my flat, i would be greeted with a series of different scents.
Some units, you'll have nice home cooked food aroma which will make your stomach churn with hunger, another unit will have strong whiff of incense burning, while another will have a aroma-therapy rosewood scent floating from the window etc. Needless to say, there'll also be units which emit a strong odor.
I think its always an interesting walk back to my flat everyday. =)
As u walk past, u'll have to recall which units to hold your breath, and which to take in deep deep breathes... ahhaha
Almost everyday, I always get whiffs of Jasmine Oil from my living room window and whiffs of Curry Powder from my Chill-Out room's window.
I prefer the curry powder scent.
Always making me crave for NASI BRIANI... yummy

MVP award- Most Vain Person
Its the 1st time i am doing a conference call from home.. using my HP. Involving US,Europe & Asia Finance teams.
Coz i did not have any Lan lines at home.
In the afternoon, SH just taught me how to mute my speaker phone, so that i do not need to put the phone against my ear for 1hr plus.
Dun ask me why, but i was feeling excited to be doing a conference call in the comfort of my home. So at 9.30pm sharp, i dialled in... only after 3 attempts did the leading party conducted the call.
While they were finishing up... the CFO of CNBC US annouced that there were 2 awards.
One was them was for Asia.... I was happy.. coz someone in our group got recognized for her /his hardwork... which also means that there would be a free meal. heheh
As Christy started describing the role that this MVP played.. I realised it was me!!!
And i started searching for the key to unmute so that i could say thank you.
Alas, i could not find the option and everyone thought that i did not attend the call.
As she started to move on, i finally managed to find the option and went: Hello hello? hey thanks thanks for the recognition." Everyone was surprised to hear from me.. so i explained that i did not know how to unmute my HP. That set everyone laughing...
And so, i got this "Most Valuable Player" award. Wee Tuck says it would be recorded in my GE's ems and it would be seen as a good achievement to other GE businesses.
I guess this is one of my 2007 achievement.

Mickey Mouse Cup???
Hello! I'm back from the Mickey Mouse Cup....
Its called the mickey mouse cup coz is just not professional enuff...
I had the 1st hand experience of watch a live football match played by professionals and also doing the Kallang wave!!!
Yeah!!!! Its the first time i'm doing it at the stadium... ya I'm mountain tortoise.. hehe
I love the thrill of stamping our feet in our seats and waiting for the wave to flow to us.
I thought i could feel the old old stadium tremble.... scary.
I learned another thing too.... Swearing : "Bu Tok "(i learnt that it means dick) whenever someone nearby in the crowd blows the whistle tune.. hehe.. u get get away with swearing while watching a football game...
Only thing is I din know there is a tune to it.
I couldnt really understand football games... so when the Thais did a walk off, i thought the coach was gathering them to teach them tatics to guard us for the penalty kick.
So much for my knowledge of football.
It was only after the game then learnt that the coached ordered them to walk off!
So unsporting.

was kinda boring at 1st.. so we decided to play some games... this got Sam so stressed.

Story of our four bean bags
We've searched a lot a lot of places and most of the shops doesnt carry bean bags.
Finally found a shop in toa payoh central which sells affordable bean bags, but they could only show us the sample picture (wrapped in a plastic bag).
And we were worried it wasnt the normal roundshape we wanted. (most shop carried the L-shaped bean bags)
After thinking hard for few days, CX decided to just go ahead to buy. But the car wasnt big enuff to fit the 4 bulky bean bags! after hogging the carpark and causing a jam behind us....sorry!!! luckily the drivers were understanding enough to see that we were trying very hard.
we managed to squeeze 1 in the boot, 2 in the back seat, with me carrying 1 in the front seat!
Resulted in CX couldnt see the rear mirror and the left side mirror. Poor me couldnt even see ..Right in my face was RED BEANBAG.
(this is how big & compact the beanbag was)
CX decided to drive round to my old house and leave 2 there, and retrieve it on a next trip.
So, next time u guys see the bean bags... u can know our hard efforts in bringing them to you. hehehe

hmmm... actually we are not having any housewarming... for quite a few reasons.
1. I dun really know how to cook
2.We do not have the budget to do catering
3.Who should we include to invite & who not to? Where to draw the line?
4.How to entertain our friends/ relatives as there'll be different different groups together?
5.Our house is not fully furnished yet.... better not make our guest feel uncomfortable.
so... we decided to just invite friends/ colleagues over just to chill out whenever they feel like it.
no formal housewarming.. I guess that'll more or less solve all the issues?
1st & formals, we just had a mini 1st group of friends over to chill out. Our house is so empty i guess (with 100% confidence) they're the ones who wun mind
Adrian, Khim, Meiling
Khim & Meiling met me at northpoint with the intention of playing table tennis then head to my house to have dinner, but it started raining as we went in search of a table tennis table.
So we decided to head straight to my house to cook.
This is what they bought for me: Deep fryer ( very useful... as i can have them over often for finger food & drinks)
I was supposed to look surprised and say: "Wah!!!! Its so good & wonderful! EXACTLY what I've been aiming for! And you've got me exactly wat I wanted!! I'm so happy!" ---> hahah Khim did i passed with flying colours? ( the inside joke was, i already knew what they were buying for me and also the fact that i was with them while they paid. But I'm supposed to look surprise when we reach my house. hahaha)
and we finished cooking at 10pm..
Hey gals! i took a look at my handphone.. we only started cooking at 8.45pm.. It wasnt as bad as we thought!!
1.Auntie Linda @ kitchen.. trying to make "french fries"
